Universitas Pertamina informs and supports the Indonesian government in clean energy and energy-efficient technology policy development through expert consultation, policy analysis, and institutional collaboration. In 2025, the university contributed to national energy transition policy discussions with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and strengthened sustainability cooperation with the Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas. On 22 October 2025, Novita Putri Rudiany, a lecturer in Universitas Pertamina’s International Relations Programme, provided expert input to a policy consultation organised by the Foreign Policy Strategy Agency, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia. The consultation reviewed the draft Energy Diplomacy Strategy Roadmap in Supporting the National Energy Transition. Her participation was formally supported by Universitas Pertamina through Assignment Letter No. 0023/UP-DKN6/ST/X/2025. Her policy analysis provided recommendations on renewable energy financing, clean energy technology capacity, and infrastructure readiness. She proposed mapping regional energy potential and investment needs, identifying international partners for energy technology cooperation, and strengthening institutional coordination and monitoring mechanisms. These recommendations contributed expert perspectives to the government’s ongoing development of its national energy diplomacy strategy.
Universitas Pertamina also strengthened institutional cooperation with Bappenas through its Sustainability Center (SUPER). The collaboration, supported by a Memorandum of Understanding, promotes academic–government engagement in sustainable development, low-carbon development, and national energy transition priorities. The Sustainability Center was inaugurated on 11 August 2025 alongside the launch of Pertamina’s Net Zero Emissions Roadmap, attended by government and industry representatives, including the Minister of National Development Planning/Head of Bappenas.
