Universitas Pertamina Sets Energy-Efficiency Guidelines for Renovations and New Buildings

Universitas Pertamina has established institutional guidelines encouraging the application of energy-efficiency standards in campus renovations and new building projects, referring to the Indonesian National Standards (SNI) for energy conservation in lighting systems (SNI 6197:2020), air-conditioning systems (SNI 6390:2020), building envelopes (SNI 6389:2020), and building energy audits (SNI 6196:2011). These guidelines are outlined in Circular Letter No. 0010D/UPER-WRP.4/SE/II/2025, supporting Rector’ Decree No. 0019A/UPER-R/PER/HK.00/X/2024 on Green Campus Management.

Point 2 recommends that renovation and new building planning refer to the following Indonesian National Standards (SNI), according to building function and project scope.
Point 4 recommends that project proposing and implementing units include relevant SNI references and energy-efficiency considerations in planning documents, technical specifications, and procurement. For partial renovations, these provisions apply to the components or systems being renovated. Point 5 further recommends periodic maintenance and energy-use monitoring to support evaluation and continuous improvement.
