About the SMART

This platform enables you to classify article to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). SMART leverages the Elsevier SDG multi-label mBert model, a multilingual AI trained on millions of academic abstracts and tested by subject matter experts. The model detects SDG relevance based on Elsevier’s 2022 SDG framework—used in THE Impact Rangkings— and provides confidence score (0 to 1) for each of the 16 goals.
