Through research and innovation networks and joint studies, the university brought partners together to exchange knowledge, compare existing practices, and identify approaches they could adapt to local needs. The programme promotes cleaner production through the design of chemical products and processes that reduce or eliminate the use of hazardous substances. Through this network, Universitas Pertamina brought researchers and industry practitioners together to compare international case studies with Indonesian experience and identify green chemistry practices they could apply in their own settings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignwide size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"580\" src=\"https:\/\/super.universitaspertamina.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/11\/image-6-1024x580.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-9996\" style=\"aspect-ratio:1.7677053824362605\" srcset=\"https:\/\/super.universitaspertamina.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/11\/image-6-1024x580.png 1024w, https:\/\/super.universitaspertamina.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/11\/image-6-300x170.png 300w, https:\/\/super.universitaspertamina.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/11\/image-6-768x435.png 768w, https:\/\/super.universitaspertamina.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/11\/image-6-1536x870.png 1536w, https:\/\/super.universitaspertamina.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/11\/image-6.png 1666w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Universitas Pertamina also collaborated with the Asian Institute of Technology in Thailand and Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade in Vietnam on a project supported by the Asia-Pacific Network for Global Change Research (APN). The partnership addressed microplastic pollution in Southeast Asia, a region where substantial amounts of plastic waste enter the ocean. The research team identified approximately 700 relevant publications, compared findings across the region, and engaged stakeholders to inform strategies for preventing plastic pollution and protecting aquatic environments.
