Universitas Pertamina supports energy-efficiency planning to reduce building energy consumption through Rector Regulation No. 0019A/UPER-R/PER/HK.00/X/2024 on Green Campus Management and Circular Letter No. 0010D/UPER-WRP.4/SE/II/2025, which encourages the application of energy-efficiency standards in campus building improvements. These institutional guidelines are supported by the 2025 Energy Audit of the Griya Legita Building, which provides a quantitative basis for identifying energy-saving opportunities. In 2025, Universitas Pertamina conducted an energy audit of the Griya Legita Building under the UPGRADES programme, assessing electricity consumption, Energy Use Intensity (EUI), HVAC, lighting, and elevator systems. The audit recorded an EUI of 102.64 kWh/m²/year in 2024 and recommended a target of ≤99 kWh/m²/year to improve the building’s energy-efficiency performance. At the Griya Legita Building, energy-efficient LED lighting supports electricity conservation, while the audit identifies further opportunities for HVAC optimisation, lighting retrofits, automated lighting controls, and improved energy monitoring. The recommendations include reducing excessive cooling, improving building-envelope performance, and optimising elevator operations. The audit estimates potential annual savings of approximately 3,722 kWh from elevator operational adjustments and 5.37% from the proposed auditorium lighting retrofit. The audit also recommends establishing monthly energy monitoring and performance indicators to evaluate energy consumption and guide future improvements.
