Universitas Pertamina undertakes educational outreach beyond campus through tailored learning activities for students in local schools. These ad hoc activities bring university expertise into school settings through interactive lectures, discussions, and practical learning relevant to students’ needs.

Financial Literacy Education at SMKN 27 Jakarta

On 22 August 2025, Universitas Pertamina’s Actuarial Science Study Programme delivered the community outreach programme “Financial Literacy for Senior and Vocational High School Students” at SMKN 27 Jakarta. Organised in collaboration with the school and led by Dr. Tasmi, the activity provided financial education for school students beyond the university campus.
Through an interactive seminar, lecturer Syukrio Idaman introduced personal financial management, financial planning, and basic actuarial concepts. Simple calculation simulations helped illustrate the concepts, while a question-and-answer session addressed students’ interests in saving, investment, and managing their allowances.
The session connected university knowledge with everyday financial decisions, providing school students with practical learning opportunities outside their regular curriculum.

Geoscience and Energy Literacy Programme at SMAN 42 Jakarta

Universitas Pertamina also conducted educational outreach through a geoscience and energy literacy programme at SMAN 42 Jakarta.
The programme introduced students to fundamental concepts related to geology, earth sciences, energy resources, and the role of geoscience in supporting sustainable energy development.
The activity was delivered through tailored lectures by Universitas Pertamina academics, allowing students to gain exposure to scientific knowledge beyond their regular classroom curriculum.
Through this programme, UPER contributed to improving scientific literacy among secondary school students while introducing them to the relevance of geoscience and energy studies.
