Universitas Pertamina collaborated with Kesatuan Nelayan Tradisional Indonesia (KNTI), a civil society organisation, in mangrove planting and conservation education activities in Muara Gembong, Bekasi, on 30 August 2025. The activity was part of the Bumiku Asri, Pangan Berdikari programme under Aksi Sobat Bumi Jilid 1, with support from Pertamina Foundation. In the activity, Universitas Pertamina mobilised students to participate in environmental education and planting, while KNTI provided community-based support for the activity involving local residents.
The activity combined practical mangrove planting with conservation education, including guidance on planting and caring for mangrove seedlings for participants and local residents. Through collaboration among Universitas Pertamina, KNTI, and the local community, the activity connected environmental education with ecosystem-based action that contributes to climate adaptation and coastal resilience.
